CHS student competes in speech contest

Cloverleaf High School junior Elizabeth Crosby will represent Medina County in the Rotary District 6630 Four-Way Test Speech Contest.

Local Rotary clubs select the best area high school students to participate in the competition. Students are required to give a four- to six-minute speech addressing practical applications of the Rotary Four-Way Test as it relates to their personal life experiences.

The Four Way Test asks, “Of the things we think, say or do: 1.) Is it the truth? 2.) Is it fair to all concerned? 3.) Will it build goodwill and better friendships and 4.) Will it be beneficial to all concerned?”

"As a past president of Medina Sunrise Rotary and current Superintendent of Cloverleaf Local Schools, I am extremely proud that we are so well represented by Elizabeth Crosby,” said district Superintendent Daryl Kubilus. “She is an outstanding Cloverleaf High School student whose talent, intelligence and initiative give me every confidence in her future success.”

Elizabeth, 16, is a member of the Cloverleaf band, National Honor Society and IMPACT. She’s the daughter of Lynn and Everett Crosby of Harrisville Township.

All are invited to support Elizabeth in the district competition April 11 at Aurora High School. For details, visit www.rotarydistrict6630.org.
