Survey on random drug test proposal

The Cloverleaf Board of Education recently heard a presentation on the potential of drug testing students who participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports and other school-sanctioned groups. We are seeking community input on the possibility of Cloverleaf implementing such a program.

Parent Resource Night at the library
The Medina Library is holding a Parent Resource Night 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 to help parents learn about all the great organizations they can turn to in Medina County if their teen or a teen they know is struggling or going through a tough time. 
Free fast-pitch clinic & new community team
CHS coaches and players will host a free fast-pitch softball clinic Oct. 13 and 19 for all interested girls in grades 6, 7 and 8. While you're there, learn more about an opportunity to play on a new community fast-pitch team. 
Highest-ever Performance Index score
Congratulations to Cloverleaf students and staff for earning the district's highest-ever score on the state Performance Index! College, Trade, Tech & Career Fair Oct. 15
The 18th Annual Medina County College / Trade / Tech and Career Fair takes place 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Medina County Fairgrounds Community Center. It's your chance to visit with reps from more than 75 learning institutions. Click HERE for the full list. 
Scholarship Fund Golf Outing
The First Annual Kevin Harmon Scholarship Fund Golf Outing and Dinner takes place Oct. 18 at Weymouth Country Club. Foursomes must register by Sept. 30. Kevin was a 1982 Cloverleaf grad and an avid golfer. The scholarship will benefit a member of the CHS golf team attending college. 
Come hear Robby's Voice Oct. 6
The public is invited to “Break the Silence,” a special presentation on drug addiction by Robby’s Voice at 7 p.m. Oct. 6 at Cloverleaf Elementary School. The event is sponsored by the Cloverleaf Community Prevention Coalition. 
Wood receives honor
Senior Morgan Wood has been named a Commended Student in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program. Morgan placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who took the 2013 Preliminary SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. 
Golf scramble to benefit girls basketball
The Cloverleaf High School girls basketball team will host a 4-person Scramble Golf Outing on Sun., Oct. 19, at Deer Pass Golf Course in Seville. 
Safe Sitter classes at the ESC
Students age 11 to 15 are invited to improve their childcare skills in Safe Sitter classes, sponsored by the Medina County Educational Services Center.
